Volleyball Training

ABOUT US
Growing up in a family that thrived for a competitive atmosphere is what sparked our initial interest in physical activity. Bouncing around from karate, to soccer, track all while being in volleyball leagues is what solidified its spot in our hearts. Participating in the YMCA and gradually transferring into club teams allowed us to master the basics, and enhance them to play at a higher skill level in both sand and indoor volleyball.
We were fortunate enough to be given many opportunities to play with many different types of people from all over the country. But, we know that not everyone is given those same opportunities, which is why we created one for them.

By applying our current knowledge of the sport, along with the knowledge we continue to obtain through our experiences at Concordia University and St. Edwards University, we want to teach others not only how to become the players they want to be on the court, but the people they aspire to be. It can be said that discipline, hard work and commitment are key ingredients to success. But even with those ingredients you will run into obstacles and challenges. We are here to help you overcome those and teach you how to overcome them in the future. We stop at nothing, we work as hard as we can, your goals are our goals and we will reach our goals together, whatever it takes.

We will be giving feedback on performance, simply not covering mechanics. This camp is open to all athletes (rising freshman-seniors). Not sure if this is the right fit for your athlete? The first session (17th) of a 2 part camp covering passing mechanics with additional application drills, accompanied with defense drills, understanding court movement when playing defense, along with serve receive and serving aid. The second session will be on the 18th, which will cover setting, transitioning required in setting, along with hitting footwork and application drills. At the end of this session, we will be putting everything together for some game play! BONUS: Before ending off the day (18th) we are offering a 1.5 hour tool kit skills training which is open to both ARS middle and high school where we cover a few techniques that are not traditionally taught but are great skills to practice and have in your tool kit.

This event is open to anyone with prior experience, as we will not be covering the basic mechanics of the position in depth, but instead progressing to faster drills. This camp is split into two different training opportunities. First session (10am-12pm) covering passing, second session (12p-2p) covering setting. It is encouraged to attend both sessions, as it is advantageous to be a versatile player, but not required!

Rising 7th and 8th grade at Ann Richards School FYWL! We are starting off the summer with a session covering the mechanics of serving and passing. Through working with a small group of athletes, we will be able to work with every individual to improve their understanding and performance of 2 building blocks of volleyball. We will be covering overhand and underhand serving. So if you are struggling with getting your overhand serve down, we are here to help!

At NLP Volleyball, our goals are not only to create an opportunity for growth in skill in group settings, but to be able to focus on individuals and what they want to achieve. In a Private Training Session, both coaches will be present working one on one or in a small group (2-4 people). Prior to the session, there needs to be communication in what the athlete wants to get better at, that way we can prepare a specialized and focused set of drills that will emphasize the skills where growth is needed/wanted. Private sessions are a great way to get in many reps, receive constructive feedback and polish skills. If you are interested in requesting a Private Training Session, please fill out the form and we will get into contact with you shortly. After confirming a session, fill out the waiver and complete form of payment.
